Apply to Open a Shop
Submit your application to join Nerdworth as a shop.
- Create an account if you don't have one
- Tell us about yourself and what you sell
- Include links to your portfolio or social media
- Must be 18+ and ship from a US address
Get Approved
We review applications to keep the marketplace safe for everyone.
- Most applications reviewed within 1-3 business days
- You'll receive an email when approved
- Once approved, complete your payout setup

Customize your shop page to showcase your brand.
- Add your profile photo and banner
- Write your bio and story
- Connect your social media links

Complete Stripe Onboarding
Set up your payout method through Stripe to receive funds when you sell.
- Verify your identity with Stripe
- Provide tax information
- Connect your bank account for payouts
Create Products & List Items
Add items to your catalog and list them for sale.
- Create products in your catalog
- Upload photos and set your asking price
- Choose fixed price, accept offers, or run auctions
- All listings appear on your shop page and in the marketplace
Ship & Get Paid
When you make a sale, ship promptly and watch your payout arrive.

Earn Royalties on Resales
Get paid when items you created sell again on the secondary market.
- 2% royalty when your original work resells

Listing Types
Buy It Now (BIN)
Set a fixed price. Buyers purchase instantly at your listed price.
Best for: Items you want to sell quickly at a specific price.
BIN + Accept Offers
Fixed price with the option for buyers to submit lower offers you can accept, decline, or counter.
Best for: When you have a target price but are open to negotiation.
Auction
Set a starting price and duration. Choose soft close (extends 2 min on late bids) or hard close (ends at exact time). Highest bidder wins.
Best for: Rare items where you want the market to determine the price.
Drop
Schedule a release at a specific date and time. Creates excitement and urgency.
Best for: New releases, limited editions, or exclusive items.
Resale Royalties

Common Questions
What are the fees?+
5% platform fee for shops, plus 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing. No listing fees or monthly costs. Personal sellers without a shop pay a different rate — see the Seller’s Guide.
How fast do I need to ship?+
Ship as quickly as possible. Tracking is required on all shipments. Timelines vary by seller.
When do I get paid?+
Payouts transfer automatically when payment settles. Typically 2-3 business days, though timing may vary based on your account setup.
Do I need to handle sales tax?+
No. We calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on your behalf.
What if a buyer claims an issue?+
We review the listing against what was received. Accurate descriptions and photos protect you.
How do royalties work?+
When an item you created and sold through your shop resells on Nerdworth, you earn 2% of the sale. This comes from the platform fee, not an additional charge to the buyer. Royalties apply to original work, not items you resell from other shops.
What is soft close vs hard close?+
Soft close extends the auction by 2 minutes when a bid is placed in the final 2 minutes, preventing last-second sniping. Hard close ends at the exact scheduled time with no extensions. You choose the close type when creating your auction.
Can I customize my shop page?+
Yes. Add your branding with a profile photo, banner image, bio, and social links. Your shop page is your home on Nerdworth.
